Structure incorporates existing c. 1890 townhouse and carriage house into the new construction.
Received the AIA DC Award of Excellence in Architecture (2012) and the Associated Builders and Contractors Metro Washington Chapter Excellence in Construction Award (2012).
Emory Proton Treatment Center— Atlanta, GA — 2012 - 2013
Design and Documentation of Exterior Skin: SD, DD, CDs
200,000 SF cancer treatment center with accessory retail and parking garage on a challenging urban site.
Primarily involved in the design and detailing of the skin and selection of a material palette that would meet the stringent requirements of the Midtown Alliance neighborhood commission while maintaining required functionality and cost.
Managed modelling and drafting standards for our in-house team of 7 and assisted in coordination with MEP & structural consultants in Revit.
Montgomery College & Germantown Innovation Center— Germantown, MD — 2007 - 2008
Interior Renovation: SD, DD, CDs
64,000 SF over 2 floors. Each floor was a separate project completed concurrently by the same design team.
First Floor: Montgomery College administrative offices, conference rooms, and classrooms.
Second Floor: Biotech incubator for the public / private partnership of the Germantown Innovation Center. Facilities include wet labs and two Class 10,000 clean rooms as well as offices and communal facilities.
1800 M Street, NW— Washington, DC — 2011 - 2012
Building Repositioning: DD, CDs
Located on a prominent corner in DC’s Dupont Circle neighborhood, the owner desired an update for the 1960s precast façade and retail entrances that were separated from the sidewalk by dark atria.
Redesign of the courtyards, main lobbies and façade at the first and second floors.
Enclosure of balconies, atria and an exterior passageway to capture maximum allowable FAR.
B-Line Medical— Washington, DC — 2010 - 2011
Commercial Interiors: Team Lead, Test Fit, SD, DD
6,600 SF tenant space for a medical software company.
Acted as the main point of contact for the client and consultants as well as the lead designer.
Managed a small project team and selected finishes.
Assisted the client in choosing a furniture dealer.
