New 7 story office building integrated with major portions of the site's existing townhouse and carriage house.

The pavilion contains the main building entrance and an ADA ramp that allows building users of all levels of mobility equal access to the lobby. A major component of the client's mission involves advocating for people with disabilities and injured veterans, so equal access for everyone was an important issue.

Metal panels were mounted on the existing townhouse walls to allow plantings to grow and add green space that is visible from the lobby.

A portion of the reconstructed carriage house and the large custom pivot door that allows the north conference room to be completely opened to the lobby are visible to the left of the elevators & reception desk.

To maximize open space in the small lobby, the exterior plane of the elevator shaft wall was extended to create the front of the reception desk.

Marble statues from the sunken courtyard between the townhouse & carriage house were reclaimed, cleaned and mounted on custom stainless steel shelves.

A projector behind the translucent glass partition at reception provides a simple way to post building announcements and events.

(My team lead was skeptical about the green upholstery for the guest chairs, but I received many compliments on them after they were installed)

CEO Office

CEO Office

The CEO's office is located in the 3rd Floor of the townhouse space. The finishes are bright and modern, while the shape calls back to the original building
